What is in your hand? Are you holding onto something that will bless you and encourage others? Or are you holding onto something that you've allowed to become an idol because you're afraid God will take it away? Look at the story of Abraham and Sarah. They were childless for decades (literally). Do you not think that they didn't wonder what happened to the promise? Check it out. Sarah decided to let Abraham rendevous with her handmaiden and it produced something that wasn't God's best. He blessed Ishmael, however, His best was still yet to come! Sarah allowed her fear to cause her to settle!! Yes, God, in His perfect timing brought forth the seed that would bring forth His Seed, but a lot of grief could have been avoided if Abraham and Sarah would have just "Let Go and let God!" I had a conversation today with a good friend and this person pointed out to me the power of my words. Unbeknownst to me, I was using them to condemn myself. Not only that, but my words were bearing the fruit of reciprocity that I really didn't want to manifest in my life!! Grace is a word that is used in songs, sermons, and conversations. It is almost cliche to evoke the word grace. However, do we really understand what it is? Grace is a gift that God gives to each of us daily. It speaks of the very essence of who He is. God is merciful and slow to anger. He is forgiving and quick to help us up without condemnation. It is His mercy interlaced with His Grace that draws us closer to Him. He is consumed with passion for us and His love is without measure.
